The Penguin RUSSIAN REVIEW Periodical

'RR' 1 - 4

This periodical was published in four issues between September 1945 and January 1948.

This was one of the Penguin periodicals launched after the victory of the 'Big Three' Allies (Britain, USA and Russia) in 1945. However, the onset of the 'Cold War' between the 'East' and the 'West' which followed saw this venture grind to a halt in 1948.

Each of the four volumes were published in the slightly larger format (8x5 inches).

We are pleased to provide a list of contents for each issue of the periodical. This not only helps identify individual items (contributions and contributors) but also provides a flavour of what was contemporary.
